1. Who we are
Karl OS ("we", "us") is a study companion built by Said Alane. Contact: support@karl-os.app.
2. Data we collect
- Account info from Google sign-in (name, email, avatar).
- Content you create: journal entries, files, flashcards, portfolio items, chat history.
- Technical data: minimal logs needed to keep the service running.
3. How we use it
Solely to operate the app: authenticate you, store your study material, and route prompts to our AI provider (Google Gemini via Lovable AI Gateway).
4. Storage & security
All data is stored on Lovable Cloud (Supabase). Row-Level Security enforces that only you can read or write your data. Files are private by default.
5. Third parties
Google (sign-in), Lovable Cloud (storage & auth), Lovable AI Gateway (AI inference). We do not sell your data.
6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
You can access, export, or delete your data at any time. Disconnect your account in Settings, or email us for a manual deletion request.
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies / local storage to keep you signed in and remember your theme. No tracking cookies.
8. Children
Karl OS is not intended for users under 13.
